Pattern Work
These repeat patterns were inspired by the brand Lush, taking into consideration the city of London, to be used as wallpaper, or on packaging for the brand. The patterns include the key landmarks of London (Big Ben, St Paul’s Cathedral, tube station signs) as well as other, little, less noticable things about London, such as the tube maps that are on all subways, the pigeons that are on every street, and the newspapers that blow on the street. The blue was used to help show London in the winter, and the purples and yellows London in the Summer.
Kids 1995 Album
This artwork was created for the band Been Stellar for their song Kinds 1995. The inspiration I used for this artwork was about memories and how these memories can change, and what it is like in the future. The individual elements were created in Procreate then added and arranged in Adobe Photoshop to add the font and make sure placement was perfect. I took the colour inspiration from polaroid photoes, which was a popular way to take photos in the 90s which is when the song is set. Book Spreads
This book cover and double page spreads were created for the article ‘Animals are Rewilding out Cities’ by Helen MacDonald. These were created in Procreate, and the typography and font used within all were created by myself to try and fit into the mood of the illustrations. From this article I took a view of the animals being a big driving force in our lives, especially with how they came back into cities during the pandemic.
4 Counties Hire
The company 4 Counties Hire commissioned me to create a new logo for the buisness, and I craeted a few options for them so they could decide which worked best for them and on the website they were building. The inspiration came from the four counties that they operate in, and I wanted to show which ones these were. These logos were craeted in Adobe Illustrator.
Christmas Card
This commission was about incorporating logos into a christmas card which was to be printed for the owner of the copmpanies I was commissioned by to send out to clients to thank them for their custom. This also included
calligraphy to keep in with the theme of Christmas, whilst leaving space so that the cards could be signed by hand to make them more personal. These pieces were sketched by hand, with more design ideas for the commissioner to choose from which can also be used in following years, and then coloured and completed in Procreate.
ConAMIA Cup
This brief was about designing a logo for a 5-a-side football tournament that the two main companies are planning to run - this is to then go on all the marketing and advertising material once it is up and running, and can be used in years to come if this is to keep running. The inspiration was a football shield, and using the main colours from the companies logos. These were completed in Procreate using the font from the logos of the two buisnessess, and will be recraeted in Adobe Illustrator once up and running to make sure the quality is the highest for the marketing.
Teignmouth Airshow Poster
This was inspired by Teignmiuth airshow, which launched in 2019 - whilst it was not commissioned by the organisers I wanted to capture what was seen at the airshow the last time. I wanted to capture the bright and colourful nature of the airshow to show how fun and welcoming the environment is. This was hand drawn first then transferred into Procreate to colour, and is something I would like to send to the event organisers for the 2026 airshow marketing.
Portraits
The first is a self portrait and the others completed from reference photos - these were first designed by hand before transferring to Procreate to edit the porportions and then colour. Whilst I wanted them to look realistic, I also wanted them to stay in my own style where I don’t use line work or blend the shading, and this is something that I use across all of my artwork. I feel this keeps it unique to me whilst looking recogniasable, and is how I work when drawing all people.
